Our Instructional Designer is accountable for:

• Creating engaging and effective training solutions to meet the needs of the business and that are aligned with the broader organizational strategy

• Partnering cross-functionally with business unit SMEs, project managers, and facilitation team to learn current state

• Understanding needs, identifying solid learning objectives, providing viable adult-learning based solutions, and designing materials that will lead to a successful learning outcome

• Coordinating instructional design projects from inception to completion of moderately complex projects; communicating project updates and soliciting client feedback regularly

• Conducting a thorough needs-analysis to assess current state, identifying gaps and understanding the organizational goals to provide a recommendation on how to achieve goals

• Designing and developing effective learning solutions in a variety of formats such as eLearning, job aids, blended solutions, etc.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, eLearning tools, including Articulate 360 (Rise, Storyline, etc.) and other rapid authoring tools

• Experience with Photoshop, Premier Pro, and Audition (or similar audio editing tool)

• Applied knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles to consultative discussions and project deliverables

• Strong organizational skills that include personal and project time management and familiarity with project capacity planning

• Exceptional communication and customer service skills

• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and quick timelines

Seeking minimum of 2-4 years of experience designing learning solutions; certificate in Instructional Design or Adult Learning Theory preferred

This is a contract position paying $35-$40 per hour.
