Now Hiring for Construction Industry Accountant/Bookkeeper in Irvine, CA

Pay: $30ph-$35ph 

8am-5pm onsite 

long-term, temp to hire 

*must have construction industry accounting experience

Ideal candidate will have broad, general hands on accounting/bookkeeping experience.

Depending on the candidate, some of the tasks I would like them to assist with:

• Accounts payable functions
  • Monitor AP production, ensure available discounts are taken
  • Enter or approve certain APs
  • Create ACH and check payment batches
  • Help manage corporate American Express cards, expense reporting, statement payments
• Accounts receivable
  • Assist monitoring collections and ‘dashboards’
  • Help identify potential problem receivables
  • Assist collections when necessary
• Human Resources
  • Process/assist with processing semi-monthly payroll in Paychex
  • Benefit administration/assist (medical, dental, Simple IRA, FSA)
  • Workers compensation reporting per pay period
• Month End
  • Assist with month end close
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses
• For candidates with project accounting experience…
  • Manage OCIP/CCIP enrollments and compliance for PDF and assist Sub tiers as necessary
  • Assist AR with monthly compliances for OCIP/CCIP programs
• Be ready to assist Controller as needed. Potentially with….
  • Credit Applications
  • Customer prequalification
  • Maintenance of company calendar
  • Special assignments

Requirements: 

• 3 years of experience of accounting and booking experience
• construction industry experience required
