Now Hiring for Construction Industry Accountant/Bookkeeper in Irvine, CA

Pay: $30ph-$35ph

8am-5pm onsite

long-term, temp to hire

*must have construction industry accounting experience

Ideal candidate will have broad, general hands on accounting/bookkeeping experience.

Depending on the candidate, some of the tasks I would like them to assist with:

Accounts payable functions
- Monitor AP production, ensure available discounts are taken
- Enter or approve certain APs
- Create ACH and check payment batches
- Help manage corporate American Express cards, expense reporting, statement payments
Accounts receivable
- Assist monitoring collections and ‘dashboards’
- Help identify potential problem receivables
- Assist collections when necessary
Human Resources
- Process/assist with processing semi-monthly payroll in Paychex
- Benefit administration/assist (medical, dental, Simple IRA, FSA)
- Workers compensation reporting per pay period
Month End
- Assist with month end close
- Bank reconciliations
- Journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses
For candidates with project accounting experience…
- Manage OCIP/CCIP enrollments and compliance for PDF and assist Sub tiers as necessary
- Assist AR with monthly compliances for OCIP/CCIP programs
Be ready to assist Controller as needed. Potentially with….
- Credit Applications
- Customer prequalification
- Maintenance of company calendar
- Special assignments
