Position Summary:

The Admin/Scale Operator is the first point of contact for customers depositing material at a transfer station or material recovery facility. This position is also responsible for the daily administrative tasks based on company needs.

Your Role:

  • Perform and complete all administrative tasks including regular filing, permits, and completing required reports to be sent to managers and leadership.
  • Act as the first point of contact and provide general support to customers, employees, visitors and vendors.
  • Maintaining office policies and procedures and troubleshooting concerns when they arise.
  • Greet and director customers as well as other traffic.
  • Ensure that incoming loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.
  • Provide general upkeep of the Scale House.
  • Work all assigned shifts from scheduled start time to scheduled end time.
  • Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Project a knowledgeable enthusiastic, positive attitude that encourages customers confidence, and reflects a professional image.
  • Participate in all required Company meetings.
  • Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act, and other federal, state and local standards.

  • High School education or the equivalent
