Job Description

PS&S is an award winning "one-stop shop” of architecture and engineering excellence, which was established in 1962. The depth and breadth of our expertise has helped PS&S grow into a firm offering multi-disciplined, full-service architecture, engineering, design, environmental, cultural resources, and surveying consulting services.

Position Summary

Competitive salaries are available for qualified candidates at the archaeologist and Principal Investigator levels. PS&S’s Cultural Resources professionals are a highly collaborative and creative group of architectural historians, archaeologists, and historians, so plenty of cross-training and interdisciplinary opportunities exist. We are engaged in projects throughout our service region which involve Phase I and II studies, intensive level and reconnaissance surveys, diligence investigations, written and oral testimony and review by municipal, state, and federal agencies.

  • Will assist in or direct project planning, proposal writing, research, field work, laboratory work, report preparation, project management, quality assurance and quality control on a wide variety of energy and public utility, real estate and development, historic preservation, and other projects.
  • An M.A., M.S., or Ph.D. in archaeology, anthropology or a very closely related field must be in-hand or near-at-hand at the time of application.
  • Field experience is a must and successful candidate(s) will demonstrate strong writing skills.
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Qualification standards for each level of seniority in the Department meet or exceed those of the National Historic Preservation Act.

What We Offer

  • We will encourage you to grow and develop your career with us through our career mapping, on going training, and career development program.
  • We foster an up-beat, creative, and fun environment.
  • We give you the flexibility needed to do your best work with several work options including remote, hybrid and on-site.
  • We offer competitive compensation along with an expansive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision benefits, life insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement and more.
