A passionate and dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer is sought by a dynamic team.
The certified athletic trainer is charged with managing the health care of participating athletes, including, but not limited to, first aid|emergency care, on-site injury evaluation, appropriate modalities, prevention, rehabilitation programs and medical referrals. Athletic training services for all sport-related events will be provided in accordance with current contracts. This position is accountable to the Orthopedic Service Line Director.

Position Overview:
Performs the following functions regarding athletic injuries: prevention, recognition, assessment, treatment (including first aid) and reconditioning of athletic injuries as set forth by the NATA Board of Certification.
Covers assigned practices, sports games or matches and related events under the supervision of the team physician and|or program manager. Depending on the institution, this may include weekend and|or evening contests.
Depending on the institution, travels with the team to away games, including overnight stays as required.
Develops treatment programs, including indicated modalities, therapeutic exercises and strength and conditioning programs, in accordance with findings of evaluations and goals established by the injury assessment or by the treating physician.
Prepares athletes for treatment and ensures comfort and safety of athletes. Carries out all prescribed treatments and recommendations by the team|program|event physician.
Applies treatment procedures and modalities in accordance with established indications and contraindications.
Qualifications:
Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
Current certification from the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers.
Experience: Preferred one to two years of athletic training experience in a sports environment.
CPR Certification: CPR certification is required within 90 days of the hire date.
