The Olympia Companies is looking for qualified and enthusiastic candidates to join our team! The Banquet Server safely and efficiently provides excellent customer service with a smile! We want our guests to feel good about their experience so that they will tell others and become a loyal customer. This position is part time, on-call. Pay range $12.00-$12.85 per hour plus tips. Responsibilities
  • Assist with the setup of banquet rooms and event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and decorations according to event specifications.
  • Ensure that all necessary equipment, utensils, and silverware are clean, polished, and properly arranged, and that audiovisual equipment and lighting are set up and operational.
  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their assigned tables, and provide assistance with seating as needed.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests, using suggestive selling techniques to promote additional items or upgrades.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately, following established service standards and presentation guidelines.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and preferences and provide personalized service and attention to ensure a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, and resolve any issues or complaints with empathy and professionalism.
  • Clear tables, remove used dishes and utensils, and replenish supplies as needed throughout the event to ensure a clean and orderly dining environment.
  • Assist with event breakdown and cleanup tasks, including removing linens, folding chairs, and dismantling decorations.
  • Complete post-event cleaning and sanitation procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in banquet areas.
Skills Required * Provide high-level customer service, communicate effectively with guests and team members, follow instructions, ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and maintain composure when working under pressure. Experience / Education * Serving and or set up experience preferred; must be of legal age in order to serve alcohol, per state law.
