Creighton University in Omaha, NE is seeking to hire a Bilingual Paralegal or Legal Assistant to become a part of our team. Will consider full or part time hours. This position supports The Milton R. Abrahams Legal Clinic. Must be able to work day hours (M-F 8-5). This hourly position is paid by extramural funds.
Responsibilities:
Drafting, formatting, and proof-reading correspondence, pleadings, contracts, and other documents.
Maintaining and monitoring assigned files and deadlines.
Coordinating and supporting attorneys at client meetings.
Performing legal and non-legal research.
Translating written legal documents, correspondence, and other documents (Spanish/English).
Assisting clients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, handling mail, email, and calendar inquiries.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and two years of paralegal experience OR Associate’s Degree and Paralegal Certificate with 3 years of experience.
Ability to utilize advanced features of Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as other software.
The ability to communicate professionally in both written and verbal form.
