Summary

The purpose of the Business Development Manager’s role is to establish and maintain centralized oversight and responsibility for Prepaid Maintenance (PPM) and other programs related to operations. Under the leadership of the Senior Manager, Service Business Development, the Business Development Manager supports the development, launch, operational support, and lifecycle of initiatives and programs for service operations to support Kia owner service retention, service capacity improvement, and owner service satisfaction (CSI).

The Business Development Manager will work closely with Service & Parts Marketing, Finance, Consumer Affairs, Warranty, HAEA, Legal, CPO, Fleet Operations and Field Operations to coordinate strategies throughout the Service Operations Group. The position will also work closely with various vendors in accordance with specific program needs. 

Additional management responsibilities include, but are not limited to, oversight of internal department administrative functions such as corporate policy compliance, budget and expense control processing, and the invoicing and/or cost recovery for selected goods and services. Continual evaluation and refinement of intra/inter department processes ensures resources are maximized for greater efficiencies and results. 

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 60% 

Manage all aspects of Kia’s in-house Prepaid Maintenance Program as assigned. Responsible for ongoing development, launch, marketing, analysis, reporting, field and Dealer communications, fulfillment, Dealer billing / reimbursement, monitoring and improving PPM reporting platform, Dealer & field inquiries, incentives planning & execution, and field and Dealer training. 


2nd Priority - 10%

Collaborate and align combined KUS PPM strategy with KUS CPO team, including Business Planning, incentives, and programs.


3rd Priority - 10%

Support other programs as directed, including (but not limited to), Service Lane Technology, Express Service, KU Service Operations training, and others. Generate weekly/monthly status reports for service programs.


4th Priority - 10%

Monitor Dealer performance KPIs and develop recommendations to improve Service Retention at Region and Dealer level. Provide accurate and timely reporting and recommendations to Executives and to the field. 


5th Priority - 10%

Produce ad hoc reports and provide other information as requested by KHQ and KNA management.

 

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or equivalent work experience required

Overall Experience

  • Minimum five to eight years OEM client-side automotive experience; minimum five years OEM automotive field operations or marketing experience
  • Team leadership and management experience

Directly Related Experience

  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing channels and tools
  • Experience with prepaid maintenance or other contracts / products sold in Automotive Dealer F&I preferred
  • Experience with Dealer express service and/or Service Lane Technology 
  • Experience managing vendor relationships 
  • Experience in budget management
  • Experience in Field / Dealer training & development
  • Interest in marketing and/or media

Ability to monitor, report, and direct work operations on a daily basis

Independent worker with strong analytic skills including advanced Microsoft Office

Project budget tracking experience.

Pay Range

$84,364.00 - $117,304. 

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
