Our client is seeking a Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer. You will be responsible for ensuring that client complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will also be responsible for safeguarding our client's sensitive information and ensuring compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop strategies to mitigate them
Train and educate employees on compliance and privacy policies and procedures
Serve as the primary point of contact for all compliance-related inquiries and investigations
Monitor changes in laws and regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly
Oversee the company's data privacy program, including data protection, data security, and data breach response
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy and compliance considerations are integrated into business processes and systems
Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry organizations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance or privacy role, preferably in a leadership position
Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
Experience conducting audits and risk assessments
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented and organized
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
