The Claims Investigator is responsible for conducting thorough and objective investigations into insurance claims, including but not limited to workers’ compensation, liability, disability, and property/casualty cases. The investigator will collect, analyze, and report factual data to assist clients in determining the legitimacy of claims and identifying potential fraud or misrepresentation.
Conduct surveillance operations and field investigations related to insurance claims.
Perform background checks, locate witnesses, and take recorded statements.
Collect and preserve video, photographic, and documentary evidence.
Compile comprehensive, detailed, and timely investigative reports.
Collaborate with clients to understand investigation objectives and deliver tailored solutions.
Testify in depositions or court proceedings, as required.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines.
Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and technology tools.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in insurance investigations, law enforcement, or related field.
Experience conducting surveillance and writing professional reports.
Strong analytical and observational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
Proficient in investigative software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
