The Claims Investigator is responsible for conducting thorough and objective investigations into insurance claims, including but not limited to workers’ compensation, liability, disability, and property/casualty cases. The investigator will collect, analyze, and report factual data to assist clients in determining the legitimacy of claims and identifying potential fraud or misrepresentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct surveillance operations and field investigations related to insurance claims.
  

• Perform background checks, locate witnesses, and take recorded statements.
  

• Collect and preserve video, photographic, and documentary evidence.
  

• Compile comprehensive, detailed, and timely investigative reports.
  

• Collaborate with clients to understand investigation objectives and deliver tailored solutions.
  

• Testify in depositions or court proceedings, as required.
  

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines.
  

• Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and technology tools.
  

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
  

• 2+ years of experience in insurance investigations, law enforcement, or related field.
  

• Experience conducting surveillance and writing professional reports.
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and observational skills.
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
  

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  

• Proficient in investigative software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  

• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
