Drilling and Tapping Machine Operator
Location: Pomfret, CT
Shift: 4PM-12:30AM
Pay Rate: $20 - $25/hour

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Drilling and Tapping Machine Operator to join our team. As a Drilling and Tapping Machine Operator , you will be responsible for operating machinery to produce high-quality production parts while maintaining safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate drilling and tapping machinery to produce parts according to specifications.
• Follow detailed technical instructions, drawings, and manufacturing procedures .
• Utilize machinery and test equipment to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Perform inspections on completed parts to verify accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained workspace in line with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and share knowledge through training and support.
• Assist the department supervisor in achieving daily and long-term production objectives.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machinery issues to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Skills and Qualifications:

• No specific educational requirement ; willingness to learn is key.
• Manufacturing experience is not required;  training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to use hand tools and operate basic machinery confidently.
• Physical capability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds .
• A positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment .
