Job Summary
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. What you do
  • Assist pre-construction with the development of project plans, including timelines and resources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities and provide direction and support as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment to ensure project goals are met.
  • Monitor project budgets, tracking change orders and change events and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Review and approve project expenditures, change orders, and invoices.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities during pre-construction and implement strategies to optimize project finances.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with deadlines and milestones.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and equipment as needed.
  • Monitor resource allocation and utilization, adjusting optimize efficiency.
  • Establish quality standards and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the construction process with the Construction Manager.
  • Address any issues or deficiencies promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders, including clients, executives, and project team members.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and make decisions.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Monitor project progress and anticipate any issues or obstacles that may arise.
  • Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen circumstances and minimize disruptions.
  • Review plans & scope during pre-construction, ensure match to contract/lease.
  • Review all budget commitments and scope prior to release to subcontractor.
  Who You Are
  1. Proven experience as a construction project manager, with a track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
  1. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  2. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  3. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  4. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage competing priorities effectively.
  5. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Knowledge of Procore.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Project.
  8. Understanding of construction contracts, building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  9. Strong problem-solving abilities, forward thinking, time management and attention to detail.
  10. Experience delighting clients and team members with customer service.
  11. Ability to train and develop all positions on a team.

Nice to Have
  • Experience in commercial construction.
  • Degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
  • General Contractor’s license.
  • Certification in project management is a plus.
