Summary:

Car Dealership Guy Media is seeking to hire a part-time (with future full-time potential) Content Writer with a high sense of urgency and a desire to make an impact at the fastest growing media company in the Automotive Industry. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for writing high quality content for distribution across our media platforms

About Car Dealership Guy Media:

We're a new kind of media company on a mission to bring transparency to the car market. Our goal is to become the premier destination for automotive insights, catering to both dealers and consumers. From industry secrets to best practices, detailed analyses and hidden opportunities—we strive to unveil it all. Our core belief is that increasing transparency will lead to a better car buying, selling, and ownership experience for both dealers and consumers. Within 12 months of launching, CDG Media has gained renown for our flagship Car Dealership Guy brand, which includes a top-rated podcast, a weekly newsletter and viral social channels, boasting over 80 million impressions monthly.

Responsibilities:

• Research and organize sources and information for story and and content development 
• Collaborate and brainstorm with the team to create new content and ideas to broaden our audience
• Write well-researched, timely and informative automotive content
• Create optimized, engaging title tags and meta descriptions to increase engagement
• Create clear and innovative headlines and body copy
• Produce high-quality blog posts on industry-relevant topics
• Ensure consistency in writing style, fonts, images, and tone 
• Collaborate with the team to align written content with the brand
• Edit and proofread content produced by other team members as needed

Qualifications:

• Prior experience writing automotive content (automotive retailing preferred)
• Strong written communication and grammar skills
• Knowledge of basic SEO principles
• Experience with content management systems (Wordpress, Drupal, Beehiiv)
• Familiarity with writing a diverse range of content including news articles, insights, podcast copy, and eNewsletter.
• Ability to work self-sufficiently in a virtual environment
• Bachelor's degree (preferred, not required)
• Strong problem solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Obsessively organized and detail oriented
• Self starter that can get shit done with minimal oversight, but knows when to ask for help
