Controller

Overview

A rapidly expanding home care organization is seeking an experienced and proactive Controller to take ownership of all accounting operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee the month-end close, strengthen internal controls, enhance reporting accuracy, and guide a small but strong accounting team within a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting and month/year-end closes across multiple entities using Sage Intacct , including consolidations and dimensional reporting.

• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements; coordinate with auditors and tax preparers.

• Supervise and develop both internal and outsourced accounting staff.

• Manage all core functions including AP/AR, reconciliations, and journal entries; ensure efficient use of Intacct workflows.

• Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and process efficiency.

• Collaborate with payroll and HR teams; experience with Viventium payroll integration is highly preferred .

• Deliver timely financial reports, variance analyses, and actionable insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have: Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct (multi-entity, dimensions, allocations, reporting).

• Highly preferred: Familiarity with Viventium payroll systems and GL integration.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred, not required).

• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with modern accounting and reporting systems.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
