Get your hard hat ready. We’re not just renovating the travel experience – we’re renovating our physical spaces too. And our Corporate Real Estate team is on the front lines of procuring, designing and developing spaces at all our hubs, stations and city locations across the world. From airport affairs and business services to planning and development, this team is responsible for all our leases and major construction and renovation projects, system wide.

The CRE Planning and Strategy (Airport Planning) plays a crucial role in optimizing airport layout and operations.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Contributing to the development of airport master plans, which outline the long-term vision for airport growth and development.
  • Analyzing gate and terminal layouts to ensure efficient passenger flows and aircraft operations.
  • Supporting project managers in various tasks, such as site selection, feasibility studies, and construction management.


This internship offers hands-on experience in aviation planning and the opportunity to develop valuable skills in a dynamic and strategic environment.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Currently enrolled in a college program (BS/BA) preferably in Aviation Management, Airport Management, Aviation Planning, Air Traffic Control, Architecture, or Engineering; must have at least one semester remaining at the conclusion of the internship
  • Advanced knowledge in operation of Excel
  • Knowledge of the function's principle, methods and techniques related to large hub operation
  • Knowledge of FAA advisory circular


What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience using AutoCAD


Compensation and benefits information is outlined below. Please note, intern pay rate may differ based on student’s class standing.

The starting rate for this role is $20.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
