Summary: Ensure customer satisfaction by performing timely and efficient pick-ups and deliveries.Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or Assistant Site Manager (depending on site configuration)
Job Duties and Responsibilities - Deliver messages, documents, packages, and other items to business establishments.
- Travel to delivery sites via customer vehicles.
- Maintain a log of items received and delivered.
- Obtain receipts for delivered items.
- Follow appropriate chain of custody protocols (e.g., TRAC).
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance (e.g., check fluid levels, refuel).
- Accurately follow maps or written instructions for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Adhere to RICOH Service Excellence performance standards.
- Operate vehicles safely and lawfully, complying with company and state standards.
- Respond to client requests and ensure timely, accurate delivery of completed orders.
- Complete paperwork in a timely, accurate, and legible manner.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company dress code.
- Ensure routine maintenance of delivery vehicles (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations).
- Meet attendance standards, including punctuality and required overtime.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work independently and make sound decisions with customer and business needs in mind.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications) - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid state driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Experience with electronic communication devices and working in a team environment.
- Basic technical skills (e.g., computers, email, TRAC).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to read maps, follow instructions, and complete paperwork accurately.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently.
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands - Couriers often work independently and are minimally supervised.
- Exposure to weather conditions and traffic hazards (especially for bicycle couriers).
- Vehicle couriers may face heavy lifting, difficult parking, and traffic delays.
- Office work occurs in a typical environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and noise levels.
- Tasks may involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Moderate dexterity required for tools and equipment (e.g., calculator, keyboard).
