DATA GOVERNANCE RISK LEAD

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Data Governance Risk lead will help lead the implementation of CNB deliverables for risk data sourcing, data quality, Artificial Intelligence, and data governance. This role will directly work with the implementation team and will be a core lead of CNB Information Management Risk team. This position has a significant role in shaping and implementing the strategic agenda within CNB and across RBC including IHC.

What you will do

• Produce information risk dashboards on a recurring basis to monitor adherence
• Draft and implement CNB data-related and AI standards and 2LOD oversight procedures for CIMR.
• Supervise team working to centralize and standardize reporting, agenda-setting, and appropriate escalation of identified risk and issues through the committee structure at the Bank
• Manage oversight of Bank wide Information Management Risk program with a focus on improvement of data quality through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.

Must-Have*

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of experience in modeling or Artificial Intelligence implementation
• Minimum of 8 years of banking experience, preferably in regulatory reporting or credit.
• 4 years minimum Experience leading a team

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong understanding and background with BCBS 239 and managing an RDARR program
• Experience with data risk reporting to Board/Committee and/or operational/credit risk analytics preferred including modeling and/or AI
• Experience working and effectively collaborating with reporting, operations and technology teams.
• Must be driven, operationally savvy, action-oriented who continually strives for improvement
• Strong ability to communicate effectively including problem resolution skills
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in various areas of responsibility
• Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal/written communication skills and strong project management skills.
• Thorough knowledge and operational skills in the Data Governance and data management
• Proficiency in statistical methods and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL)
• Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating data-related risks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues at all levels including senior management
• Prefer 8 years of banking experience, preferably in regulatory reporting or credit.
• Experience with development and implementing AI-Driven solutions and AI governance cross functional teams
• Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing team members to fostering a culture of continuous learning, efficiency and professional growth
• Skills in using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present findings.

Compensation

Starting base salary: $122,535 - $208,715 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
