Designer, Footwear & Accessories

ANINE BING is seeking a Footwear & Accessories Designer to join our dynamic Design Team in Los Angeles, CA. 

This role focuses on designing and developing innovative footwear and accessories each season, aligned with the ANINE BING brand.

The ideal candidate is a passionate and creative thinker with a sharp eye for detail, thriving in the evolving luxury market. Utilizing their expertise and diverse technical skills, this candidate will showcase originality and mastery in design techniques. As a stellar communicator, the Footwear & Accessories Designer collaborates seamlessly both internally and externally, playing a crucial role in bringing our accessory visions to fruition.

This position reports to the Senior Designer at our Los Angeles HQ.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Present concepts and designs each season and build out presentation boards. 
  • Engage in all aspects of design such as sketching new seasonal collections, sourcing, creating tech packs with detailed specifications, fitting from Development through to Production.
  • Communicates daily with cross functional team members such as Product Development and tech design to ensure we adhere to the time and action calendar and ensure development deadlines are on track.
  • Source materials and trims that meet quality standards and align with design requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects and seasons simultaneously while adhering to deadlines for milestone meetings and production time and action calendar.
  • Will work under the direction of the Senior designer and VP of design.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or related field.
  • 4-5+ years with previous experience in Footwear design, preferably at a contemporary company. Background in Accessories is a big plus. 
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
  • Strong sketching and illustration skills to communicate design concepts effectively and technical sketches.
  • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes relevant to footwear design and production.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with overseas vendors.

Compensation

  • The anticipated base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000
