To be successful for this Truck Mechanic role you are needing certain skills and qualifications, including:
Mechanic Responsibilities
* Running diagnostic tests on vehicles and using laptop.
* DOT Inspections
* Analyzing diagnostic test results.
* Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and Air braking and clutch systems.
* Overhaul Cummins, Detroit, International, Mack, Mercedes, Caterpillar
* Checking vehicle lighting systems.
* Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
* Performing preventative maintenance.
* Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
* Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
* Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
Requirements may look like
* ASE Diesel/Auto Certification advantageous.
* Valid driver license CDL.
* Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
* Good IT and diagnostic skills.
* Using hand tools
* Physically fit and able to lift up to 100 pounds.
* Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
* Attention to detail.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Verbal communication skills.
Skills
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to
write simple correspondence.
* Effectively present information in a one-on-one situation or group.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measures, using whole numbers, common
fractions and decimals.

Experience:
* Mechanical Knowledge: min 5 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
