Global Marketing Engines and Experiences (E&E) provides the foundation for all Marketing engines, data, technology, and digital experiences across the commercial marketing organization. This allows us to streamline how we plan, execute, and report on all of Microsoft's marketing activities around the world, and ensure we communicate with our customers using a consistent voice and approach across paid and organic touchpoints.
As a member of the Global SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Team, you'll be at the forefront of increasing organic search visibility and improving performance for our portfolio of commercial products including Azure, GitHub, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365, Windows 365, Microsoft Security, and more.
We are seeking a visionary Director, SEO Solutions, with a strong executive presence to lead our SEO Solutions team, reporting into the Global SEO Team, so that it can deliver data analyses, presentations, tools, dashboards, operational processes, and whitepapers to a variety of internal leaders and departments. The team will consist of full-time employees and an outsourced agency that have worked together to produce insights about our global customers and competitors.
In this role, you will work with many stakeholders and colleagues to develop a vision and strategy for SEO research, reporting, operations, and technology that span across our business priorities. One day you may be presenting findings on our competitors' SEO tactics and the next day you might be leading requirement development for a new Power BI dashboard that incorporates global search volumes with data from other sources. Your team will help define the key metrics that we measure and the cadence that we report our performance to leaders. In addition to being an SEO data aficionado, we are also looking for a candidate that can model our values, coach our employees, and care personally, and we expect this person to create clarity, generate energy, and deliver a high degree of success in an always changing and challenging environment.

**Responsibilities**
+ Lead the development and execution of our SEO data strategy, reporting routine, metrics definitions, and data sources for all commercial marketing lines of business and customer solution areas.
+ Lead the development and execution of research projects that delve into search engine algorithms, customer behavior, competitor tactics, market trends, and Microsoft's performance.
+ Create a process for research projects that accepts work requests, triages and routes them, incorporates quantitative data, produces a report, and delivers it back to leaders and stakeholders.
+ Lead and manage the SEO Solutions team, providing mentorship, and ensuring alignment on goals. You will facilitate collaboration and improve the partnership with the Global Media, Research & Insights, Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Marketing Experiences, and Web Marketing teams.
+ Monitor SEO trends and algorithm changes, always staying ahead of updates to ensure the company's strategies remain competitive.
+ Lead the development of a comprehensive SEO strategy for research, reporting, data, and technology, as well as coach the team in leading and managing search engine optimization across lines of business.
+ Educate the team on digital channel principles and practices, and lead innovative growth strategies through digital marketing.
+ Develop, drive, and influence integrated marketing program strategies with partners and stakeholders, as well as guide the team in developing customer insights to support program development.
+ Develop and guide the business impact of current and future programs, and develop engaging customer experiences.
+ Draw insights from KPI reports to inform long-term marketing and business planning decision making, as well as identify opportunities to improve content strategies and other business decisions.
+ Lead the storytelling process by simplifying content for leaders and stakeholders, while ensuring best practices are shared with key stakeholders and partners.
+ Drive high complexity projects by developing a detailed project management plan, as well as by managing finances for projects with large budgets.
+ Drive team progress by collaborating across organizational boundaries, managing ambiguity and escalated situations through strategic and targeted communication.

+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Data Science, Information Technology, Market Research, Statistics, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 1 + years people management experience.

Integrated Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
