PURPOSE:

As a Dock and Door Account Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling dock equipment and overhead door systems to commercial and industrial customers. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide product demonstrations, and generate sales revenue for the company. This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge of dock and door systems, and a proven track record in sales.

GOALS:

  • Provide customers with timely and effective solutions.
  • Assist with managing costs on projects and prevent scope creep.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and prospect potential customers in the commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of dock equipment and overhead door systems.
  • Travel to site to acquire proper specifications for quotes.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contracts to potential customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop strategies for market penetration and expansion.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing customer expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the dock and door industry.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to interpret plan drawings and bid packages.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical knowledge of dock equipment, overhead door systems, and related products.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
