We have partnered with a client looking to URGENTLY add a Account Manager. The candidate will be responsible for managing key client accounts, building strong relationships, and driving sales within the door and trim industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the products, market trends, and excellent communication skills to ensure client satisfaction and business growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the door and trim industry.

- Act as the main point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and requests.

- Understand clients' needs and provide solutions to enhance their satisfaction.

2. Sales and Business Development:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the door and trim market.

- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for expanding the customer base.

- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the business.

3. Product Knowledge:

- Possess in-depth knowledge of RESIDENTIAL door and trim products, including materials, styles, and specifications.

- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to provide valuable insights to clients.

4. Order Management:

- Prepare both quotes and orders for processing and ensure timely delivery of products to clients. This includes obtaining the necessary information from the client, submitting quote requests to our suppliers, and preparing quotes and orders to be sent to the client.

- (Preferred) Work closely with internal support teams to manage inventory and address any supply chain issues.

5. Problem Resolution:

- Address and resolve client issues promptly and professionally.

- Collaborate with internal teams to find effective solutions to challenges. The account manager is expected to consult with team members in all departments to adequately address the customer's concerns/issues. This would include things such as following up with the warehouse manager (status of available inventory, material receiving, delivery, etc.), the shop manager (status of door prep, confirming spec details, etc.), the bookkeeping team (price confirmation, discounts, refunds, returns, etc.). They will also work directly with our supplier/vendors on obtaining quotes, clarifying orders, checking status, etc.

Qualifications:

- The ideal candidate would have actual on-site job experience and a working knowledge of general residential construction principles. They will also have recent experience in completing material take-offs from blueprints.

- Minimum of 5 years experience in doors.

- Proven experience in account management within the door and trim industry.

- Strong sales and negotiation skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, required. Agility by DMSi, preferred.
