Job Description

**Job Title: Dry Wall Finisher** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced **Level 5 Drywall Finisher** to join our team in a state-of-the-art home manufacturing facility. This role is critical to achieving the highest quality finish standards in residential construction. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in drywall finishing and a strong eye for detail. **Shift** : 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 11pm) M-F, with OT opportunities on Saturday's **Responsibilities** + Perform all phases of drywall finishing to **Level 5 standards** , including: + Apply joint compound (mud) to seams, corners, and fasteners using **automatic taping tools, flat boxes, angle boxes, and power sanders** . + Tape joints and corners with precision using **mechanical tapers** for consistent application. + Feather and blend edges for seamless transitions between panels using **finishing boxes and corner finishers** . + Sand surfaces with **power sanding systems** to achieve a perfectly smooth finish ready for paint or texture. + Apply skim coats across entire surfaces for a uniform, high-quality appearance. + Inspect completed work for imperfections and correct as needed to meet strict quality standards. + Maintain proper drying times and layering techniques to avoid shrinkage or cracking. + Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and uphold safety protocols. + Use various hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently. + Join materials using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives as required. **Essential Skills** + Advanced proficiency in drywall finishing, including mudding, taping, sanding, and achieving a flawless Level 5 finish using automatic taping and finishing tools (e.g., mechanical tapers, flat boxes, angle boxes, power sanders). + Strong understanding of construction techniques, including framing, rough carpentry, and installation tasks. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings accurately. + Skilled in the safe and efficient use of hand tools and power tools for drywall and general construction tasks. + Experience with metal studs, tape measures, doors, cabinetry, and trim work. + Knowledge of new construction processes, including painting, wood framing, and general labor duties. + Commitment to quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proven experience in mud & tape work, achieving Level 5 drywall finishes using automatic taping and finishing tools. + Ability to perform high-quality work in residential construction settings, with optional experience in tiling, painting, or roof framing. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values precision and craftsmanship, offering opportunities to apply your skills in a supportive environment.
