Pay rate range: $70k - $100k/yr. Possible flexibility on pay for more senior candidates. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reads RFP drawings and specifications and understands the scope of work for assigned discipline for proposal and change order estimates.
Maintains proficient knowledge of current labor conditions and material pricing in the geographic region of the work and accurately uses this information to establish unit rates and productivities for the estimate.
Methodically establishes quantities for all materials and labor required to meet the scope within assigned estimate area. In the event the RFP is based upon conceptual documents, sketches and/or visualizes routings and physical layout to establish quantities.
Prepares the detailed estimate on a line-item basis, using the company's pre-established estimate format and software platform and includes total costs for each scope line item.
Assists with preparation of risk scenario impact models to value any significant risk effects on the cost estimate. Further coordinates with the respective Project Manager to identify risk management measures to be taken to manage the risk cost for the work.
Prepares cost tradeoff analyses, as requested, for alternate construction solutions for value engineering, using the process described above.
Coordinates with and provides mentoring for Estimator I and Project Engineers to increase their estimating skills and facilitate their growth.
Coordinates with specific project managers and provides change order pricing as project objectives are needed.
Education and/or Experience:
4-Year College Degree, preferably In Electrical Engineering. Other degrees combined with experience will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in detailed estimating of similar project work, with a minimum of 2 years' total experience in field-based estimating.
Experience estimating self-performance of electrical work, including crew sizes, support costs, and key productivity data.
Interest in precision and accuracy; self-checking.
Interest in construction/building work.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as estimating software.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Master Electrical license is preferred, but not required.
Journeyman experience is preferred, but not required.
Prior electrical apprenticeship or formal training in electrical estimating.
Prior work with self-perform electrical subcontractor, and understanding of historical production rates for workers and support costs.
Willing and able to roll up your sleeves and get things done.

Ability to travel as needed to remote project locations.
