Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on art lessons that promote creativity, critical thinking, and fine motor skills.
  • Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment where students feel confident to experiment and express themselves artistically.
  • Use a variety of art materials, techniques, and techniques, and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in both skills and artistic development, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate art with other subject areas and school events.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues about student growth and classroom activities.
  • Participate in school events, exhibitions, professional development, and team meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in art education, Elementary Education with Art endorsement, or related field.
  • 1-3 years teaching experience, preferably in elementary education or similar setting
  • Current and valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years teaching experience in elementary art education
  • Valid teaching certification/license for Elementary Art of Visual Arts
  • Experience designing lessons that foster creativity and engagement for young learners
  • Skilled in integrating technology and diverse art media to enhance instruction
  • Strong classroom management and ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Passion for nurturing students' artistic growth and social-emotional development
