Job Description

The Sylvan Learning Centers of Minnetonka and Chaska are looking for English instructors to teach online courses or to tutor in one of our centers. Online instruction can be delivered from your location. Training can be done remotely with no need to come into the center. Each of our instructors are trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in an individualized setting. Benefits

Hours We are looking for teachers to work:

• 2 or more shifts from 12:00-4:00pm or 4:00-8:00pm
• Some Saturdays from 9am to 1pm

Responsibilities

• Create unique and fun learning environment
• Ensure students are picking up on proper grammar, writing, and reading comprehension
• Complete certification training on each Sylvan program taught to students
• When applicable, ensure students are prepared for the reading and writing sections of the ACT/SAT exams.

Qualifications

• Sylvan requires a licensed teaching degree
• Current or expired licence is acceptable
