Ever wonder about how mud moves around the Bay and builds marshes? How huge ships traverse the shallow Bay? How the two are connected? The Sediment Program Analyst position works to increase beneficial uses of sediment dredged from the Bay in wetland restoration projects, ensures safe navigation for both large ships and small recreation vessels, and works to protect ecosystem health along the way. As a Sediment Program Analyst, you will manage dredging and aggregate mining activities, support beneficial reuse of dredged sediment, provide technical advice, and work with restoration projects and sediment and soil providers to reduce barriers to beneficial reuse in restoration projects. In addition, you’ll work with Commissioners in workshops and working groups and provide recommendations to the Executive Director and the Commission on proposals involving a wide range of sediment issues.
