A family in Short Hills is looking for a Weekend Nanny/housekeeper to join their family. The children are 5 years old, 6 years old, and 8 years old. The family is truly looking for the right fit and can be flexible on the schedule. Ideally the schedule would be Saturday from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm, with the possibility of extended hours based on the family’s needs.

Duties:
Caring for and supervising the three children. Monitoring play dates and other activities. Occasionally transporting the children to various activities. Preparing meals for the family. Cleaning the home, including kitchen and bedrooms, and assisting with family laundry.

Ideal nanny:
The ideal Nanny for this home is someone who’s proactive, engaging, and energetic. Someone who is a self-starter and takes initiative when something needs to be done. Someone who is able to manage all three children and set boundaries. A warm, positive, and kind presence but also knows how to discipline the children appropriately to maintain order. A Nanny who will understand and appreciate that they are a team with the parents, all backing each other up. The ideal candidate will be able to manage tasks around the house while implementing best judgement to focus on whatever may need their attention at a particular moment.

About the family:
This 5-year-old can be more challenging and needs someone who's able to set and keep boundaries. He thrives with attention and adapts quickly. He's enrolled in dance and karate.

The middle child is joyful, warm, and a pleasure to be around. She is quite a character who loves making voices and pretend playing. While she is independent, she also loves people and is a rule follower who adapts quickly. Her activities include dance, soccer, piano, and karate.

The oldest, 8-year-old boy, is sensitive and oftentimes gets in his own head in a negative way but he can also be happy, enthusiastic, and affectionate. While the oldest child is a little stubborn, especially when hearing the word no, he has his positive qualities as well. He participates in soccer, karate and piano.

These parents are warm, friendly, down to earth, family and detail-oriented. They are commutative and open to suggestions. There are no pets in the home. Discipline in this household includes consequences, counting to three, and removal of privileges. There are no currently known allergies in this home.
