Overview:

Our team is looking for a Summer Intern to assist in everyday merchandising tasks. As a merchandising intern one will work directly with both assistant & associate buyers across all categories to gain valuable experience in retail and fashion in a corporate setting.

Responsibilities:

• Learn the product lifecycle and the merchandising role in the process
• Assist merchandising team with meetings, turnover, emails, and projects
• Provide order management support, which will include writing purchase orders and tracking on-orders. 
• Vendor image management
• Assist assistant buyers in sample management & organization
• Report to vendors on prior week’s selling on a weekly basis
• Trend forecasting
• Support day-to-day merchandising tasks to support the overall business

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Working towards a degree in a relevant field; or equivalent experience or passion for fashion merchandising & retail
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Possess strong analytical skill and good sense of responsibility
• Attention to detail & organized
• Professional & reliable
• Collaborative team player
• Motivation & interest to be exposed to and educated on the day-to-day tasks of a retail buyer in the retail industry
• Ability to commute to our Annapolis MD offices
• Final retail project at the end of internship
