Locations: Salmon Arm or Vernon

Position: Family Lawyer/Civil Litigation (5+ YOC, NO BOOK REQUIRED)

Responsibilities:

* Independently manage family law and civil litigation files.
* Handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
* Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.
* Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients.
* Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications.
* Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials.
* Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end.
* Experience in general civil litigation is an asset.

Requirements:

* 5+ years of current experience in British Columbia family law and/or civil litigation practice.
* Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
* Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
* Desire to become part of the community served.

Compensation:

* Salary based on the year of call and experience.
