Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact between clients and carriers, negotiating rates and schedules to ensure the timely delivery of goods.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients to secure reliable transportation solutions.
- Source and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Utilize various transportation software to track shipments, manage inventory, and ensure accurate billing and payment processes.
- Efficiently manage multiple client accounts and shipments simultaneously while providing exceptional customer service.
- Assist in resolving any shipping or delivery issues that may arise, ensuring prompt and effective solutions are provided.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in freight brokerage or related field.
- Knowledge of transportation industry and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain positive business relationships.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient in using transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field is preferred.
