Job Summary:
Install and repair garage doors and openers for residential and commercial clients, ensuring timely and quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
1. Measure and prepare garage door openings.
2. Install garage doors, frames, and hardware.
3. Align and adjust doors for proper fit.
4. Install garage door openers and accessories.
Repair and Maintenance:
1. Troubleshoot and repair garage door issues.
2. Replace damaged or worn-out parts.
3. Perform routine maintenance (lubrication, adjustments).
Customer Service:
1. Communicate with clients to understand needs.
2. Provide estimates and explain services.
3. Ensure customer satisfaction.
Safety and Quality:
1. Follow safety protocols (fall protection, ladder safety).
2. Ensure compliance with local building codes.
3. Maintain high-quality workmanship.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 1-2 years of experience in garage door installation and repair.
3. Valid driver's license.
4. Physical stamina for lifting and working at heights.
5. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Industry certifications (e.g., IDEA, IDA).
2. Experience with garage door manufacturers (e.g., Clopay, LiftMaster).
3. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
