Summary
As Global Medical Science Liaison (MSL) II, you will serve as a manager and scientific expert, who strategically supports the communication of medical scientific information relevant to BD diagnostic systems - primarily the BD COR, BD MAX, and BD Veritor System(s). This role bridges internal teams and external stakeholders by delivering accurate, evidence-based scientific information and gathering clinical insights.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in in-vitro diagnostics, infectious diseases, molecular diagnostics, point-of-care (POC) diagnostics, and microbiology. Candidates are required to report to our Sparks, MD location Monday through Thursday, and work at home on Friday. Candidates in alternate locations may be considered.

Primary Responsibilities: - Lead team in support of BD's molecular and point-of-care diagnostic platforms.
- Execute strategic scientific and educational initiatives aligned with medical affairs and commercial goals.
- Lead scientific exchange discussions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), including laboratory professionals, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and hospital leaders.
- Support KOL engagement through advisory boards, educational symposia, investigator meetings and sponsored promotional programs
- Develop and deliver training for external HCPs and internal teams.
- Monitor and report competitive intelligence and scientific trends.
About You:
- Minimum MS/PhD (Life Sciences), or MSN/NP/PA; MLS (ASCP) preferred.
- Ability to manage 1 or more direct reports.
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in patient-facing settings such as hospital, urgent care, primary care, inpatient, or outpatient locations.
- Strong background in lab science, clinical research and clinical molecular biology preferred; prior MSL management experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to communicate scientific information effectively.
- Experience providing education, training, and collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.
$113,400.00 - $186,900.00 USD Annual.
