Description & Requirements We are currently seeking qualified and motivated professionals interested in joining our team in support of an upcoming federal contract (pending award). This position will play a key role in delivering high-quality services to our government client and will be contingent upon contract award.
As part of this project, you will support a federally funded initiative that provides essential medical readiness services-such as exams, screenings, dental care and preventive care-to individuals in remote or underserved areas. Services are delivered through a network of providers and mobile teams, with remote coordination and scheduling. The program ensures consistent access to care across dispersed populations and contributes to broader public service goals.
The Communications Project Manager will play a Key Role in developing and executing program communication strategy that aligns with federal agency partners and Maximus objectives. Also, the Communications Project Manager will work to create and implement responsive communications protocols and procedures, including both proactive and responsive communications for a variety of purposes including on-boarding, emergency response, training, stakeholder management, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work hand-in-hand with MAXIMUS Project Teams and key stakeholders to develop, manage and deliver communication products and services.
- Manage the development innovative strategies and approaches to increase consumer awareness, understanding and engagement in government programs
- Ensure sound management of client delivery: scope, approaches, timelines, budgets, resources and quality.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of integrated communications strategies/tactics across multiple platforms, including print, digital, and social media.
- Support business development initiatives and high-level meetings with existing and potential future clients.
- Develop briefs and/or presentations in support of new business opportunities.
- Manage resources including consultants, vendors and/or subcontractors.
- Develop and execute program communication strategy that aligns with federal agency partner and Maximus objectives
- Create and implement responsive communications protocols and procedures, including both proactive and responsive communications for a variety of purposes including on-boarding, emergency response, training, stakeholder management, etc.
- Develop and write clear, compelling content for internal and external audiences including Maximus program staff, provider networks, service members, and federal agency partners
- Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of content.
- Create and maintain a repository of content and brand guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy of communications
- Maintain, evaluate and leverage communication tools to facilitate delivery and reporting of communications
- Establish and distribute success metrics and results as well as make recommendations for ongoing optimization of engagement outcomes
- Partner with Maximus marketing on external initiatives and internal communications in support of program objectives
- Work collaborative with senior leadership to effectively and efficiently support the business and collaboration/strategy to deliver mission outcomes for program goals
- Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
- Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Frequently interacts with employees, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
- Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 5+ Years
- 3+ years experience supervising/managing staff.
- Strong working knowledge with email delivery tools (i.e. Hubspot, Constant Contact, Poppulo)
- Experience with leading a cooperative effort among project team members.
- Experience with developing and administering schedules, performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
- Experience with developing and executing program communication strategies that align with federal government agency partners.
- Experience with creating and implementing responsive communications protocols and procedures, including both proactive and responsive communications for a variety of purposes including on-boarding, emergency response, training, stakeholder management, etc.
- Experience with writing clear, compelling content for internal and external audiences and understanding provider networks, service members, and federal agency partners is preferred.

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
