Three Rivers Midlands is seeking a dynamic & talented Medical Records/HIM Clerk

Three Rivers Midlands is a comprehensive behavioral health facility treating children and adolescents through residential and Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBH). We treat males and females ages 11-18 for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors, and chemical dependency relate d illnesses.

The Medical Records/HIM Clerk Key Responsibilities include:

The Medical Records/HIM Clerk collects, maintains, and makes available to authorized users timely, accurate, and complete patient health information in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures. Regularly, disassembles, thins, and audits medical records of current and former residents to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal agencies. Responsible for tracking internal requests for medical charts. Maintains compliance with faciltiy medical records retention policies and coordinates transportation to storage as needed.

This is a Full Time position, primarily working Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Some weekends and evenings.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma required but strongly prefer a two-year associate's degree that includes course work in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. 
• Minimum (1) one year in a behavioral health/healthcare setting preferred. 
• Valid SC Drivers License preferred
• Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess knowledge of therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, adolescent growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management
