Job Title: HRIS Analyst
Location: Houston, TX
Pay: $35-$44 DOE
Job Description:
Support the use of HRIS including HCM Workflows, Self Service, Benefits, Sharepoint, and Reporting & Analytics.
Write, maintain and support a variety of complex reports, dashboards or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Develop standard and ad hoc reports for ongoing customer needs. Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
Assist with processing all employee changes in the HRIS system timely and accurately and in accordance to the company’s policies and practices.
Maintain and upload compensation-related data in the HRIS system, including salary structure, job codes and titles, grade structures and tier leveling; process annual or pay for performance salary adjustments within HRIS system.
Prepare statistical summaries and special reports from HRIS involving skills, pay grade, performance data, payroll information, and other employee records.
Assist with developing and administering department Sharepoint intranet site for all HR programs.
Prepare data for the annual budget and reforecasts as requested for current and open headcount.
Process annual unused sick pay benefit, including data collection of available balances and the creation of election forms to those eligible employees.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve moderate to complex issues reported by end-users via research, testing and scenario re-creation as it relates to HRIS; create and execute, functions to support business operations. Make recommendations for long-term solutions to stabilize the system.
Process the weekly exchange of the demographic census and payroll files between HRIS and external benefit systems; manage the data collection, analysis and reporting of benefit information as required by Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Complete audit requests from internal and external auditors for benefit programs and various other departments such as Finance and IT.
With assistance from Benefits team, create annual benefit and compensation statements for all employees.
Perform other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related major in a public or accredited private academic institution preferred but may be substituted for related experience.
3+ years of HRIS experience required; 5+ years preferred
Prior Workday experience a plus
SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP, SPHR/PHR, or HRIP certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Behaviors:
Knowledgeable of employment law policies and practices
Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, statutes, regulations, codes, and standards related to employment, benefits and payroll administration including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA, FLSA, etc.
Knowledge of human resources, payroll, and benefits plans systems
Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
