Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Arbitrator II to work onsite with our client, a top-tier global automotive company. This is a full-time contract role with the possibility to extend or convert based on performance and business needs. As a Tekberry W2 employee, you will have access to health benefits including dental and vision.
Responsibilities: Review customer claims to ensure alignment with Manheim s National Arbitration policies and any account-specific requirements.
Investigate basic and moderately complex arbitration cases, including late title issues, condition report disputes, post-sale inspection results, vehicle availability, and mechanical/structural/undisclosed damages.
Communicate and collaborate with internal departments such as reconditioning, dealer services, vehicle entry, and front office staff throughout investigations.
Gather, verify, and validate necessary documentation, inspection results, and supporting evidence to move claims toward resolution.
Use assigned levels of financial approval authority to resolve claims appropriately and within guidelines.
Prepare and deliver timely communication to buyers, sellers, and auction personnel via phone, email, and in-person discussions.
Mediate disputes and negotiate repair or pricing adjustments to achieve mutually acceptable outcomes and maintain vehicle sales.
Maintain accurate and complete case files, including documentation, invoices, settlement agreements, and supporting notes.
Engage with supervisors to determine whether escalation is required for complex or sensitive claims.
Demonstrate an understanding of investigative techniques, negotiation strategies, and customer experience principles.
Learn and apply Arbitration concepts, Manheim Marketplace Policies, NAAA Arbitration Standards, and auction operational processes.
Build foundational understanding of auction operations, administrative procedures, and relevant legal/compliance requirements.
Advise buyers and sellers on claim processes, auction policies, NAAA guidelines, and case expectations.
Facilitate communication between all involved parties to gather facts, address concerns, and guide cases toward resolution.
Provide clear updates on claim status, next steps, and decision rationale.
Build and maintain positive working relationships while navigating sensitive disputes.
Demonstrate commitment to safety by following all procedures and supporting Safety Excellence initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor s degree preferred.
1 2 years of experience in claims management, conflict resolution, arbitration, or related fields.
Automotive, mechanical, or body shop experience (1+ years) strongly preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage difficult conversations professionally.
Proven decision-making abilities and an ability to demonstrate fairness, neutrality, and sound judgment.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to mediate, negotiate, and influence resolution outcomes.
Detail-oriented with strong accuracy, organization, and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience in high-volume customer or client-facing environments.
Ability to be onsite every Wednesday (schedule subject to change).
