Job Summary   

The CSU I&E Superintendent will report directly to the CSU I&E Lead. They promote and provide leadership for Safety and direct/coordinate daily activities of the CSU I&E Superintendent, Supervisors, Techs, and construction support craft. They assume direct responsibility of assigned instrumentation and systems for completion with the highest degree of safety and quality. They mentor and provide positive feedback to employees. They assist with coordination of client personnel for OJT and Maintenance training.

• Hold and/or attend Daily Safety Meetings
• Attend or conduct daily leads meeting
• Lead and require strict adherence to Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures (LOTO), work permits, and company policies
• Review and spot check Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) audits for department
• Utilize scope packages and necessary forms for completed turnover packages
• Utilize work packages associated with system testing
• Utilize test procedures for component and system testing
• Red line all drawings and specification data sheets to ensure accurate “As-Built” information and drawings
• Promote and require good housekeeping in the office and on the project site
• Review and update min/max and available spare parts and consumables for commissioning
• Troubleshoot and isolate system problems and propose solutions to Commissioning Instrument Lead Specialist
• Checkout installed systems and equipment adhering to OEM requirements, system descriptions, and good industry standard practice
• Track progress of assigned systems and provide CSU I&E Lead with timely reports on progress and activities
• Perform construction process assessments during system pre-Mechanical Complete (MC) walk-downs and identify exceptions, and deficiencies
• Directs commissioning and testing of individual components, systems, and the station as a complete integrated unit to meet all contractual obligations

Skills Required

• Minimum of 5 years field execution experience
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Biogas, LNG/Gas Process/Refinery/Petrochemical Industries and Power Plant maintenance and operations
• Minimum 10 years of instrumentation & control systems experience in supervisor roles and/or specialization
• Must have knowledge of DCS/PLC codes and standards
• Must have ability to read and understand P&ID’s, Loop Drawings, Cause & Effect’s, Electrical One-Lines, and Schematics
• Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI), MS Office Suite
• Must have recent knowledge of (PLC, DCS, SIS, etc.) and Field Instrumentation
• Experience with electrical, instrumentation and control systems codes and standards, including ISA, NEC, and API is required
• Experience as an Instrument Supervisor on at least (1) mid to large size project during the construction, commissioning, and initial start-up phases of a project is preferred

Education/Training/Certifications

• Associate’s Degree in electronics from a University or Technical School, and/or job related experience a
