Job Description

Position Summary: The purpose of the FE5 position is to demonstrate proficiency in servicing equipment with advanced troubleshooting skills while applying excellent customer satisfaction skills in the most difficult situations. The FE5 will work on a great variety of machines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position, with reasonable accommodation, if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in "other related duties as assigned": Assists the team specialist in mentoring and training junior technicians. Participates in training sessions and informational meetings as assigned. Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose complex hardware problems. Understand, troubleshoot and properly diagnose complex connectivity problems. Will resolve all difficult service problems using all available servicing information. Will resolve difficult customer satisfaction problems. May become a product specialist on a particular model. Provides leadership by example within the supervisory group. Assists in the absence of the specialist with machine and customer problems. Learn complete assembly and disassembly procedures in the field or shop. Develop ability to work independently. Learn to logically troubleshoot machine problems utilizing all available resources. Demonstrate proficiency in equipment cleanings and PMs. To maintain, track and protect from damage all car stock and inventory that is issued. Participate with other Technicians in field training. Demonstrate acceptable verbal and written communication skills with customers and other employees. Candidates must posses a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and provide proof of minimum auto insurance coverage as required by state law. Conforms to company guidelines on dress code and personal hygiene. Maintain a safe vehicle with secure storage for parts. Complete all types of paperwork accurately and legibly (timecards, equipment histories, service orders, etc.). Learn and use communication systems with dispatch. Read, be familiar with and maintain Field Engineering bulletins and servicing information. Participate actively in the sales lead program. Assist the sales force in accomplishing their goals through prompt and effective machine service and communication. Learn and follow current procedures for return of parts and assemblies. To act in a polite, professional manner that is beneficial to the reputation of Loffler Companies. Responsible for understanding, staying updated on, and abiding by the Employee Handbook as written. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: In-office and travel to client sites as required. Independent Judgment/Decision-Making: Can creatively resolve machine and customer problems. Fully capable of working independently. Can think outside of provided information to resolve problems. Effectively prioritize the customer needs and concerns. Prioritize importance of emergency calls, returns, incompletes and parts calls. Allow sufficient travel time for arriving to work on time. Communications/Interpersonal Skills: Shows excellent communication, team building, coaching and mentoring skills. Negotiates and deals effectively with highly complex, confidential and sensitive information. Technical Skills: Excels in the troubleshooting and repair of all electrical and mechanical problems. Efficient networking and connectivity skills. Problem Solving/Critical Thinking: Uses innovative and strategic thinking in applying theories, principles and concepts for a wide variety of problems. Education/Experience: One of the following is considered acceptable: Associate degree in electronics. Armed forces training in electronics. Vocational electronics/electro-mechanical training program. Previous office equipment repair experience. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Constant bending and lifting is required. Must be able to lift 75lbs. Frequently required to use hands to handle objects, tools or controls. The posted range for this position represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum starting compensation for this role.
