Transforming Liberty Street into a pedestrian thoroughfare, the market serves as a community gateway for hotel guests and locals alike, inviting the neighborhood in with the smells of freshly brewed Heine Brothers' coffee, baked bread, and smoked barbeque.Job DescriptionCoordinate all department activities necessary to maintain the highest standards possible of quick, efficient, and professional food & beverage service to guest's room.Responsibilities- Take phone orders from guests.- Knowledge of IRD service times, menu and specials- Coordinate pick-up & delivery of orders- Coordinate & assist with removal of trays- Responsible for set-up, delivery, and presentation of amenities- Prepare posting & payment of checks.- Conduct administrative work requirements as assigned by manager- Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications- Ensure that all health standards are consistently maintained through the maintenance and cleanliness of food prep & service areas.Qualifications- Candidate is required to have at least 1 year in a hotel food & beverage role or related field.- Previous cash handling experience required.- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.- Must be proficient with computers.- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.- Move, bend, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance.- Must be Food Handlers certified.- Must be STAR certified.
