SUMMARY: Plans, implements, and coordinates infection control, employee education, and employee health initiatives for the District. Works in collaboration with MCHD leadership to maintain regulatory compliance. Participates in committee meetings as requested and performs follow-up duties as necessary. Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing required. BSN required. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Five or more years nursing experience in a hospital setting required. Knowledge of accreditation process. Knowledge of CDC guidelines and requirements in healthcare setting. LICENSE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Current Texas RN license or RN compact licensure is required. Current CPR certification and ACLS certifications required.
