Job Description

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

  • I require a high school diploma or GED with over 20 years of experience, or an associate's degree with 18+ years, a bachelor’s degree with 12+ years, a master’s degree with 9+ years, or a doctorate with 7+ years. You must have a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience as an All-Source Intel Analyst.
  • You should possess experience in strategic intelligence and analysis.
  • I seek individuals with a track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with external law enforcement and intelligence community partners, as well as collaborating on all-source analytic assessments with agencies across the intelligence community (IC).
  • You should have experience as an all-source analyst in an IC agency, producing finished all-source analytical intelligence products per IC analytical standards. This includes identifying topics for national intelligence briefings and coordinating with government and industry personnel at various levels of seniority.
  • Familiarity with IC analytic systems and tools like classified message databases, Analyst Notebook/i2, Web Intelligence Search Engine (WISE), or Palantir, as well as proficiency in using unclassified administrative software such as Office 365 applications is important.
  • I’m looking for candidates who are well-organized, process-oriented, team-driven, and possess critical thinking skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with government and industry personnel.
  • Competence in Business Intelligence, Process Improvement, Collection Management, and Intel Planning is necessary, with excellent written and verbal communication skills that allow you to write and present to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities:
  • I expect you to provide all-source intelligence analysis on matters related to homeland security, covering topics such as border security, counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and critical infrastructure protection.
  • You will conduct research and analysis, providing recommendations for operational and support elements, external intelligence agencies, and federal law enforcement to enhance an atmosphere of cooperation and information sharing.
  • Your duties will involve preparing finished analytic products, assessments, briefings, and other written or oral presentations on current threats and trends, utilizing sophisticated collection, research, and analytic tradecraft from both classified and unclassified sources.
  • You should be able to identify gaps in intelligence information and collaborate with collection managers to develop strategies that meet intelligence requirements through various IC collection disciplines.
  • You will be responsible for employing IC analytic standards and appropriate methodologies and techniques, while leveraging specialized subject matter expertise to prepare assessments for a wide array of consumers, from senior U.S. officials to state, local, and private sector clients.
  • Collaboration with analysts across the IC, law enforcement, and other agencies will be a significant part of your role, working on products, working groups, and additional information-sharing forums.

- Preferred qualifications include at least twelve (12) to fifteen (15) years of experience in All-Source Intelligence Analysis at the national level, prior involvement with the U.S. CBP National Targeting Center (NTC) particularly in operational data analysis, and familiarity with unique DHS systems.
- Specific experience in intelligence production related to counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and illicit trade, along with demonstrated experience in high-side analytic or targeting systems is advantageous.
- Previous work in a liaison role with another component of CBP or agency experience in advising on national and international intelligence programs and policies is desirable.
- Experience in Great Power competition national security matters focused on China, Russia, or Iran, with language skills for any of these regions being a plus, will also enhance your candidacy.
- I welcome candidates who have developed intel alerts, reports, or threat bulletins that support CBP operations and have experience with operational and tactical intelligence initiatives.
- Clearance requirements dictate that you must be a U.S. Citizen with a TS/SCI clearance and the capacity to obtain and maintain DHS CBP suitability.
- The physical demands of this position include the ability to occasionally move around the office to access files, operate office machinery, and communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
