Job Description

Given ongoing construction and development plans, our current apartment portfolio of 6,000 plus units is expected to double in the next couple of years and rise to over 12,000 units in the next five years.

We're currently seeking an Interior Designer Level 1

1-4 years previous related experience

Position Summary

Works in collaboration and handles multiple projects at once. Is responsible for preparing presentation/design drawings, ordering equipment/materials, and helping coordinate through construction.

Edgewood Properties seeks a passionate and dedicated Interior Designer Level 1

EP’s Design Team is known for creating exceptional amenities spaces for our luxury residential portfolio, that emphasizes a “hotel living experience.”

We are looking for a creative and motivated individual to work in our collaborative team environment.

You will be responsible for projects such as model homes, corporate suites, and amenity spaces, including resort-style pools, state-of-the-art fitness centers, game rooms and more!

  • Develop technical drawings including but not limited to space plans, floor covering plans, RCP’s, electrical plans and concept elevations.
  • Help create and develop digital and/or physical presentation boards and layouts for review.
  • Aid in FF&E sourcing & specifications.
  • Develop base 3D models to aid in the development of the overall design concept.
  • Develops project specifications closeout books
  • Convey and maintain design intent during Design and Pre-construction/Bidding phases, and support selection of products and vendors
  • Effectively take direction and fulfill tasks to document and convey design requirements and design solutions to the broader design and construction team
  • Participate in Ownership, vendor, and consultant meeting

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

  • Required Education - CIDA accredited Bachelor/Master degree
  • Required Software - AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite
  • 1-2 years Multifamily / Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Construction knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to influence/collaborate with others including internal resources, vendors and remote teams.
