Job Description

Eriez Australia is seeking a motivated Mechanical/Product Design Engineering Intern with a focus on chemical applications to support our engineering team. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience across multiple departments and offer exposure to real-world engineering challenges in product development and system design.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Mineral Processing Sales Engineer with engineering tasks and project work

• Perform calculations for lubrication systems, including pressure loss analysis through pipelines

• Assess performance improvements for electromagnets, including evaluating forced cooling options

• Support the creation and maintenance of sales price lists

• Assist in developing bills of materials (BOMs) and part number management

• Collaborate with different departments to gain a broad understanding of product development, design, and manufacturing

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering (3rd or 4th year)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems
• Experience with engineering calculations, CAD software such as Inventor, and technical documentation is a plus
• Ability to work independently and within a team across multiple departments
• Detail-oriented with good communication skills to interact with engineers, sales, and production teams
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
