Overview
Our Award Winning Client is seeking a full-time Interventional Cardiologist to join their team in Texarkana, TX. This is a hospital-employed role within a nonprofit health system , offering the opportunity to work alongside a team of four Interventional Cardiologists with Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support . The position is focused on coronary care near the Texas-Arkansas state line and provides an engaging mix of clinic and procedural duties.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive interventional cardiology care across both hospital and clinic settings
Perform procedures and manage inpatient cases
Participate in a shared on-call schedule
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes
Schedule and Shift Details
Monday – Thursday: Most physicians split their time between half-day clinic and half-day hospital/procedures
Fridays: Clinic schedule varies—some physicians work every Friday, every other Friday, or PRN Fridays
Call Schedule:
Interventionalists take an average of 6–8 days of primary call per month
Call is 24-hour shift-based and paid per 24-hour shift
Only MDs participate in call
Backup call: Interventional Cardiologist provides backup when General Cardiologist is on call, in case of STEMI or stent placement needs
