DESCRIPTION
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
Key job responsibilities
- Physically move and expedite materials when required to support production and meet work order completion schedule.
- Verify all materials are packaged/bagged and tagged for hand off to the production floor.
- Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually complete warehouse tasks and movement of parts.
- Document system issues, process flaws and inefficiencies. Communicate with quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems.
- Operate equipment including: forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, cherry picker, and hand carts.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $32/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A day in the life
Join Project Kuiper's inventory team and support the delivery of satellite material to our engineers as we create and deploy satellites to help bring internet to under-served populations.
A day in the life would include fulfilling warehouse orders by kitting and packing direct material and delivering the kits to the production floor.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year in supply chain, operations, warehousing, inventory control or related experience
- 1+ year experience using MS excel, able to navigate and interpret data
- Able to lift up to 49 pounds
- Schedule 40 hrs a week 8 Hrs daily
- Monday - Saturday
- Morning and Evening Shifts depending on the needs
- Able to stand/walk for up to 10 hours
