We are an employment agency and seeking the Japanese-English Translator at Japanese famous automotive company in Timmosville, SC. (We have same position at Swepsonville, NC and Russells Point, OH as well)

Job Responsibilities:

• Document Translation :

  • Translating documents from Japanese to English and vice versa.
  • Handling various types of documents such as business papers, contracts, technical manuals, and marketing materials.

• Conversational Translation :

  • Providing simultaneous or consecutive interpretation for meetings, phone calls, and business discussions.
  • Supporting communication between business partners or clients.

• Translation Quality Management :

  • Reviewing and proofreading translations to ensure quality.
  • Checking for consistency and accuracy in the translated content.

• Terminology Management :

  • Researching and managing specialized or industry-specific terminology.
  • Creating and updating glossaries to maintain consistency in translations.

• Customer Relations :

  • Receiving and confirming translation requests from clients.
  • Managing project progress and adjusting deadlines as necessary.

• Cultural Sensitivity :

  • Understanding and considering cultural nuances and context in translations.
  • Ensuring that the intended meaning is accurately conveyed.

• Technical Support :

  • Using translation tools and software effectively.
  • Employing translation memory and CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools.

Requirements:

 

• Experience in Translation and Interpretation :

  • Prior experience in translating and interpreting between Japanese and English is required. This may include professional experience or extensive practice in various contexts such as business, legal, technical, or general fields.

• Training Programs :

  • Despite the need for experience, the role offers training programs to enhance specific skills or adapt to the company's standards and practices. This could include training in specialized terminology, industry-specific knowledge, or using translation software.

• Proficiency in Both Languages :

  • High proficiency in both Japanese and English, including advanced reading, writing, and speaking skills. Understanding cultural nuances and idiomatic expressions is also crucial.

• Technical Skills :

  • Familiarity with translation tools and software, such as CAT tools (Computer-Assisted Translation) and translation memory systems. Training may be provided for specific tools used by the organization.

• Attention to Detail :

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in translations and interpretations. This includes understanding and maintaining the context and meaning of the original content.

• Cultural Competence :

  • Ability to understand and navigate cultural differences, ensuring that translations and interpretations are culturally appropriate and convey the intended message.

• Professionalism :

  • Demonstrating professionalism in all interactions, including maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in translation and interpretation.

【職務内容】

文書翻訳 :

• 日本語から英語、または英語から日本語への文書翻訳。
• ビジネス文書、契約書、技術マニュアル、マーケティング資料など、さまざまな種類の文書を取り扱う。

会話翻訳 :

• 会議、電話、ビジネスディスカッションのための同時通訳または逐次通訳の提供。
• ビジネスパートナーや顧客とのコミュニケーションをサポートする。

翻訳品質管理 :

• 翻訳の品質を確保するためのレビューと校正。
• 翻訳内容の整合性と正確性の確認。

用語管理 :

• 専門用語や業界特有の用語の調査と管理。
• 翻訳の一貫性を保つための用語集の作成と更新。

顧客対応 :

• 顧客からの翻訳依頼の受付と確認。
• プロジェクトの進捗管理と納期の調整。

文化的配慮 :
