Job Description

Digonex serves the pricing needs of clients in attractions (aquariums, museums, zoos, theme parks) and performing arts (concert venues, theatres, orchestras) through the development of cutting-edge pricing solutions.

As a Junior Economist, you’ll be a part of our economist team that currently consists of several Ph.D. economists. You will employ your economics training to contribute to the implementation of our existing pricing solutions, in addition to developing new solutions that optimize pricing.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain regular reporting for our clients
• Support monitoring of our clients’ daily prices and identify and report any issues
• Collaborate with others to ensure best practices are followed
• Identify opportunities to enhance performance, quality, and efficiency of our processes
• Communicate effectively with other members of project team as well as client service managers, data analysts, and software developers
• Participate in code reviews (written in Python or Stata) and testing to ensure code quality
• Work with Ph.D. economists in development and refinement of pricing solutions that utilize economist modelling, optimization, and forecasting

Required Skills:

• B.A or M.A. degree in Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Data Science
• College level courses in Intermediate Microeconomics and Econometrics
• Demonstrable experience in data analysis (e.g., an independent project for an Econometrics course)
• Experience in programming languages (Stata/Matlab/Python/Java/C etc.) or a semester of an Introductory Computer Science course
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team of Ph.D. economists
• Effective communication skills

Additional Information:

• This is a hybrid position. We require our Junior Economist to come to our Indianapolis, IN headquarters at least two days a week.
