Our client is a global manufacturing corporation that has consistently grown throughout the United States over the past 5 years- opening up brand new facilities across the country.   Their Syracuse, NY area manufacturing facility is expanding their engineering team and looking to hire a Lean ‘change agent’ to help grow this process improvement philosophy.  They have great benefits including high matching on 401k plans and excellent work/life balance. 

Main duties of the Lean/Continuous Improvement Engineer include:

• Use Lean/Six Sigma and CI strategies to improve plant manufacturing processes
• Use statistical tools like SPC to analyze current processes and reduce costs
• Lead plant Lean Manufacturing and Black Belt events and drive this culture
• Communicate with all levels of the facility and generate reports for Sr. Management
• Work closely with the Quality team to ensure industry standards are met

Qualifications include:

• BS in Engineering
• At least 1-2 years of experience leading process improvement projects
• Strong Lean/CI experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Data-driven, proven examples of SPC
