Experienced Legal Secretary

We are a respected busy boutique trial powerhouse renowned for handling a wide range of complex cases. Our dedicated team represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants, providing a comprehensive perspective on legal matters. We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with expertise in general liability defense litigation, medical malpractice, construction accidents, commercial, personal injury, condominium, and business litigation

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Self-motivated, dependable and punctual and thrive in a busy and collaborative environment
  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts for case preparation
  • Draft correspondence and communicate with clients
  • Manage document production and discovery processes
  • Prepare trial binders and exhibits for court proceedings
  • Write case briefs and synopses of depositions, contracts, and testimony.
  • Conduct thorough statistical/documentary research.
  • Source and verify important case intelligence.
  • Maintain an updated case record system.
  • Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and providing timely reminders.
  • Transcribe dictation

Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary in litigation and personal injury fields.
  • Knowledge of the constitution, legal terminology, regulations, and court system.
  • Working knowledge of litigation management software systems is a plus.
  • Experience in e-filing on both State and Federal levels.
  • Proficiency in Spanish a plus
  • Outstanding time-management and organization skills.
  • Ability to multitask and be comfortable dealing with a diverse pool of people.
